Cayman has a rich food history, from our take on classic Caribbean dishes like jerk chicken with rice and peas, cassava cake and conch fritters to Cayman Style Beef, with each family having their own secret version. While these recipes represent a thread in the fabric of a family legacy, securing every nuance is challenging.
This October, Clean Gas is excited to launch the Cayman Community Grill Guide – a collection of Cayman’s favorite recipes submitted by YOU!
We’re asking customers to submit their favorite barbecue secrets, from succulent ribs, famous jerk chicken, grilled fish or maybe a fresh side salad made with local ingredients. Whatever it may be, we want to share your famous recipes with our followers in the Cayman Community Grill Guide eBook.
The idea behind launching the Cayman Community Grill Guide is to create a sense of community and encourage homestyle cooks to share their unique recipes for everyone to enjoy.
Recipes are what create magic, and trigger childhood memories through tasteful storytelling. They also bring back favored memories of being at home with your friends and family, standing around the barbeque while you catch up on life happenings. There is no denying that cooking brings families together and this collection of recipes will help share and commemorate those memories.
When you submit your recipe to Clean Gas for the Cayman Community Grill Guide, not only will your recipe feature in the eBook, but you’ll also stand a chance at winning a $50 Clean Gas credit. We’ll be sharing the recipes on our Facebook and Instagram pages, the recipe that gets the most amount of likes will win.
There is something for everyone on a traditional Cayman menu, bursting with flavor, and Clean Gas is excited to share it with you!
To submit your recipe, send it to us via Facebook Messenger or complete the form on our website. If you have any pictures of your recipe or a significant story, make sure you provide us with that information too. Entries will close on December 15, 2021.
